Six Days Is a Long Time to Spend With a Stranger

I grew up carrying things that weren't mine to carry. The abuse I experienced as a child caused me to shut down my gifts early — the intuitive knowing I'd always had felt dangerous, so I buried it.

What I built instead looked like a successful life. A law degree, a career in Australia, the kind of credentials that tell the world you're doing fine.

I wasn't doing fine.

Underneath the professional identity I'd carefully built, I was wearing masks and contorting myself into roles that didn't fit — all in a bid to be loved and accepted. I thought if I could just achieve a normal-looking life, everything would settle.

It didn't.

My own healing started in my early twenties, with psychologists, and slowly expanded into work that pushed me well outside my professional comfort zone. I travelled solo, across the world, and each trip chipped away at who I thought I was supposed to be. Eventually I left law entirely. People thought I was mad.

That's why I can meet you where you actually are. Not because I've read about it — because I've lived it.

I came to this the long way round

Hi, I'm Sunni. Psychic medium, therapeutic coach, former Australian lawyer — and someone who knows exactly what it's like to be stuck in a pattern you can't seem to break.

If you're reading this, you're probably working out whether to spend a week with me. Fair enough. Here's who you'd be doing it with.

What I actually do

I work at two levels at once, and that's the part clients say they haven't found elsewhere.

The first is therapeutic. I'm trained across parts work, inner child work, somatic tools, cycle-breaking and relational pattern work. I understand the architecture of how people get stuck, and how they genuinely change — not by managing symptoms, but by going to the root.

The second is intuitive. I've been psychic since childhood. I connect with what's energetically present for you, and that layer runs through everything — including the readings that open and close every retreat.

And the law isn't incidental. It means I'm precise. I track patterns with the same rigour I once applied to case analysis. I don't traffic in vague reassurance — I tell you what I see, clearly and with care.

Over twenty years of this. The last five of them here.

I've worked with more than 2,500 people across the world — mostly women, some men, navigating relationship patterns, career crossroads, identity rebuilds, grief, and the quiet sense that something fundamental needs to change.

The last five years have been here: on the Mexican Caribbean coast, and deep in the Peruvian Amazon. That's where the retreats live, and it's where this work goes furthest — because a week is long enough for something to actually move, and an hour a fortnight isn't.

What I'm like in the room

Warm, and easy to be around. You won't find me solemn about it.

You'll also find I'll sit with you in the hard part for as long as it takes — and that I won't help you talk around it. That's the bit people remember afterwards. It's also the bit that makes six days worth it.

I speak to every guest personally before a deposit is taken, because I'd rather lose a booking than put someone in a room that isn't right for them. That screening is also why the room is safe for everyone else in it.

On plant medicine

I've held ceremony in the Peruvian Amazon for years, alongside Fiammetta Roccisano, a curandera in the tabaquero lineage. It's some of the most important work I do.

It's also held in its own container, separately. It's never folded into a Pattern Work Retreat. If ceremony is what's calling you, that work has its own page. See the plant medicine retreats →

Who else you'd meet

Depending on where we are and what the week needs, I bring in co-facilitators — someone for yoga and water therapy, a sound healer, a temazcalero to hold the fire and the steam.

They're not agency hires. They're people I've known and worked alongside for years, and I won't put anyone in a room with my guests I haven't sat in a room with myself.

Who joins us depends on the place. A week in Akumal and a week in the Sacred Valley aren't held by the same hands — the traditions are different, and the people who carry them properly are local to them. You'll know exactly who's with us well before you arrive.

When I'm not working

You'll find me swimming in the Caribbean most mornings, cooking enthusiastically for my community, writing, and talking to animals.

And still doing my own work. Because the day I stop is the day I lose the thing that makes this real.

"Sunni knew exactly what I needed when I needed it. She made it feel like home, and safe."
