1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, paying for, or attending any retreat, workshop, or in-person experience offered by Retreats with Sunni (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion.

If you do not agree, you must not register or attend.

2. Nature of Retreat Experiences

Retreats may include:

  • Emotional processing

  • Somatic or movement practices

  • Meditation or breathwork

  • Cultural or traditional ceremonies

  • Plant medicine ceremonies (where applicable)

  • Group sharing

  • Travel within host country

  • Outdoor or nature-based activities

Retreats may involve intense emotional, psychological, or physical experiences.

You acknowledge that personal transformation processes may bring up discomfort.

3. Plant Medicine Disclaimer

Where a retreat includes traditional plant medicine ceremonies:

  • Participation is entirely voluntary.

  • No medical claims are made regarding plant medicines.

  • Ceremonies are spiritual and cultural in nature.

  • These experiences are not medical treatment, psychotherapy, or clinical interventions.

You confirm that:

  • You have truthfully disclosed relevant medical and psychological history.

  • You are not taking medications that are contraindicated.

  • You understand potential physical, emotional, and psychological risks.

  • You accept full responsibility for your decision to participate.

You understand that plant medicine may produce unpredictable physical and emotional responses.

4. Medical Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  • Retreat facilitators are not medical professionals unless explicitly stated.

  • No medical supervision is guaranteed.

  • You are responsible for consulting your healthcare provider prior to participation.

  • You are responsible for ensuring you are physically and psychologically fit to attend.

You agree to disclose:

  • Mental health diagnoses

  • Cardiovascular conditions

  • Neurological conditions

  • Current medications

  • Substance use history

Failure to disclose relevant conditions may result in removal from the retreat without refund.

5. Medical Disclosure & Participant Responsibility

Participants are required to provide accurate and complete information regarding their physical and mental health, including any medical conditions, medications, psychological diagnoses, or substance use that may affect their ability to safely participate in retreat activities or plant medicine ceremonies.

By registering for the retreat, you confirm that all information provided during registration, intake forms, and communications is truthful and complete.

Failure to disclose relevant medical or psychological information may pose significant safety risks. Retreat facilitators reserve the right to restrict or remove participation in certain activities, including ceremonies, if undisclosed conditions become known.

No refunds will be issued if participation is limited or denied due to undisclosed medical, psychological, or medication-related risks.

Participants acknowledge that they are responsible for consulting their healthcare provider regarding the safety of participation prior to attending the retreat.

Retreat facilitators rely on the honesty and completeness of participant disclosures in order to maintain a safe environment for all participants.

6. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:

  • Emotional distress

  • Psychological discomfort

  • Physical reactions

  • Injury during movement activities

  • Travel-related risks

  • Environmental hazards

  • Acts of nature

  • Food-related sensitivities

  • Unforeseen circumstances

You understand that you participate entirely at your own risk.

7. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless:

Sunni Dawson
Co-facilitators
Ceremonial leaders
Staff
Venue providers

from any claims, injuries, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Travel & Insurance

You are solely responsible for:

  • Flights

  • Visas

  • Travel documentation

  • Health insurance

  • Travel insurance

  • Medical evacuation coverage

We are not responsible for:

  • Missed flights

  • Border entry issues

  • Government restrictions

  • Travel disruptions

Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

9. Payments, Deposits & Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.

If you cancel:

  • Cancellation terms will be governed by the specific retreat agreement provided at registration.

  • Payments may be transferable only at our discretion.

If we cancel a retreat:

  • Payments will be refunded, excluding personal travel expenses.

  • We are not responsible for participant travel costs.

10. Code of Conduct

Participants agree to:

  • Respect facilitators and other participants

  • Maintain confidentiality within the group

  • Refrain from harassment or disruptive behavior

  • Follow safety instructions

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior compromises the safety or integrity of the retreat. Removal may occur without refund.

11. No Guarantees

Retreats are transformational spaces, but no specific emotional, psychological, or spiritual outcomes are guaranteed.

Individual experiences vary.

12. Confidentiality

Participants agree to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information shared by others during retreat.

We respect participant privacy but cannot guarantee confidentiality within group settings.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters

  • Political instability

  • Government restrictions

  • Public health emergencies

  • Venue cancellations

  • Acts of God

In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico.

Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation.

If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mexico, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

15. Dispute Resolution

The parties agree to attempt mediation prior to litigation.

Mediation may occur in Mexico or virtually.

Each party shall bear its own legal costs unless otherwise determined by law.

16. Agreement

By registering for and/or attending a retreat, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms.

  • You voluntarily assume all risks.

  • You release liability as outlined above.

  • You agree to comply with all retreat policies.
